Donna’s introduction to art started as a child when she saw her mother sketch and knew the oil painting over the fireplace was one she had painted. Her big sister was an artist her whole life, acquiring a Master’s degree in Art Education, and went on to teach art in the public school system. Even her Father took up art in his later years and found his forte in carving stone. Art was always something she wanted to do but never found the time until one day she decided to stop by and check on a sign that said “art classes” at the Paul Foropoulos Artist Training Center in Palm Harbor, Florida.
She started classes in January of 2012 and has been hooked ever since. She always had a creative streak that expressed itself in sewing, quilts, and miniatures, but now the addition of painting brings a whole new dimension to her creativity and enhances all her projects.
